Vic: Catholic priest charged with child pornography offences
A 61-year-old Victorian Catholic priest has resigned .. after being charged with child
sex and child pornography offences.
Meredith parish priest Father JOHN HAINES has served the district near Geelong for
more than a decade.
Colac detectives raided his home last Friday .. allegedly seizing images of children.
Father HAINES has been bailed to appear in Geelong Magistrates' Court on May 29 on
charges including indecent assault with a child under 16 .. and procuring a child for
